The Design Process

Home > The Design Process

Before your website is displayed online for the world to see our dedicated team of designers, proofreaders, technicians and online marketing experts will ensure you receive a service of the highest quality.

Step one - Consultation

This consultation can be in the form of a telephone call or by filling out our online questionnaire. The purpose of this consultation is to establish the individual characteristics of your business, such as:

Step two - Market Research

We go to great lengths to ensure that your website is able to compete with the competition. Our research includes:

Step Three - On Site Search Engine Optimisation

To get your website higher up the search engine rankings we incorporate:

Step Four - Design Process

Clients may have as much or as little involvement in the design process as they would like. We listen closely to your wishes and expectations before letting our artistic ability and professional software do the rest.

Once the designer is happy with their first draft, or if they feel they need your input, your fully operational website will be displayed on a temporary sub-domain. We will then listen closely to your feedback and make the necessary amendments. You may be happy with your first draft or you may wish to offer suggestions and request alterations and see further drafts.

Step Five - Written Content

Based on the consultation, market research and SEO requirements, our experienced writers will incorporate all of the necessary elements, such as your target audience and key selling points, to create a written document of an exceptionally high standard.

We believe every website should have strong terms and conditions, a privacy policy and website disclaimer. For this we use templates professionally produced by www.simply-docs.co.uk. These legal documents are extremely well-written and should protect you from any conflicts that may arise. However, we advise every client to ask their solicitor to look over the documents. Bespoke terms and conditions are available on request for an additional fee.

Step Six - Proofreading

We take proofreading extremely seriously as there is no place for spelling mistakes or grammatical errors within a professionally designed website. As the proofreading process can be very time consuming the final professional proofreading will take place after you are satisfied with the overall design. Your website will undergo the following:

  1. Proofreading by the original author.
  2. Proofreading by another writing specialist from within the company.
  3. Proofreading by a professional in-house proofreader.

For an additional fee you may also have your website proofread by an independent proofreading company.

Step Seven - Web Hosting

Your website will be hosted on Vidahost’s extremely reliable and powerful servers.

Once your website is completed and has been hosted at the required domain we are happy to setup company e-mail addresses and make small amendments to ensure your services are in good working order.

We understand that many clients may have little to no knowledge of web design, web hosting and other Internet marketing strategies. Therefore every effort is made to ensure the purchase and future maintenance of any of the services we provide is as pleasant and effortless as possible. We continuously keep abreast of the ever-changing legislation to ensure we are providing our clients with the most up-to-date, secure and efficient service possible.
